Two new German translations of the Quran by Ahmad Karimi and Hartmut Bobzin will be displayed at Frankfurt book fair in late September.

According to Deutsche Welle, with regard to the increasing interest shown by non-Muslims to know about Islam and Quranic teachings, two German Muslims have planned to present their translations of Quran at Frankfurt book fair.

Beck Publications in Munich and Freiburg Herder Publications will respectively publish the two translations of Quran by Hartmut Bobzin, who finished it in ten years, and by Ahmad Karimi, who is of Afghan origin.

Regarding the necessity of new translations of Quran, Eva Orthmann university lecturer and researcher in Islamic sciences in Germany said: "The best translation of Quran into Germany available in the country rendered by Rudi Parter, famous German linguist, dates back to 1962."

"It is written in an academic language which is not comprehended by every one. That is why we predict that the two new translations will be highly welcomed," she added.
